Home made salsa anyone?!
Tomatoes are now in season and I've been wanting to make home made salsa. But I want to make sure it is a trued and tried recipe. I think I could come up with one on my own, but I would still like to know if anyone has a good one they want to share?
i am looking for a super recipe for homemade salsa too. I remember Shauna White made the tastiest salsa for a ward activity. Let us know if you find a good one.
Um, I have a "recipe" that everyone really seems to love, but the thing is, I never measure when I cook. And I make it pretty spicy because that's how I like it. But the "recipe" is pretty easy. I skin the tomatoes. Then I put them in a big pot with cilantro, garlic, red onion, jalapenos, and various other ingredients depending on my mood - corn, black beans, pineapple or papaya, cayenne, etc. - and then I bring it all to a boil. Then I simmer it for about an hour. I use the immersion blender to puree the whole batch and then I can or freeze what I won't use in a couple of days.
Its really great idea!!!!!great season to do homemade salsa..thanks for giving such a beautiful idea... I will try it in home..thats good one means i share with you..
Thank you, Aunt Angela. I'd like to thank you for inspiring me to do a little something like you did on that post. Sort of like a "How to" thing but... your post inspired me to do just that (with no cooking involved) and make a sequel. Thank you, unfortunately kids don't like recipes that much. Neither me but it helped me and that's all I really want to say to you. Well, thank you, Aunt Angela. Oh, and go to www.journeymaxjessop.blogspot.com! The latest post is that sequel I was talkin' about. Well, see ya on my journey to tennessee.
